Report on the Panel Discussion Organized by the Committee at the 31st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Engineering
On May 14, 2022, at the 31st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Engineering (held in Tsukuba), clinical engineers from Japan, the United States, India, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan gathered for a panel discussion on the theme of infectious disease response. Naramura served as the moderator, and Yoshioka presented a report on "Infection Control Measures by Clinical Engineers."
Initially, the theme was intended to be infectious disease control in general, but reports from each country, including Yoshioka, reflected their specific efforts to combat the novel coronavirus. It was a fruitful discussion forum, not only allowing us to understand the current state of COVID-19 response in each country, but also providing advice on infection control measures that are not being implemented in Japan.
