With advancements in science and technology, such as AI (artificial intelligence) and ICT (Information and Communication Technology), the fields of medicine and welfare are undergoing significant changes. In particular, the field of clinical engineering is experiencing rapid advancements in medical equipment, leading to increased sophistication and complexity. The scope of work for clinical engineers as specialists is expanding, and their importance is growing even more amidst Asia's rapidly aging population.
The fifth annual conference was held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, with the theme "Contribution to the Development of Information Science and Medical Safety in Asian Clinical Engineering," and was held online with participants from various countries, with the main venue being the Shin-Osaka Washington Hotel Plaza.
